David Knotek
David Knotek is the co-founder and former CEO of Chemical Guys, a leading high-end global brand and customer ecosystem that connects people around the world who possess a passion for cars and car care.
David came to the United States right after the fall of communism in the Czech Republic in 1990. In 1997, he received the prestigious Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award from Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, in recognition of his innovative ideas in performance-based marketing.
In 2019, David received a Leadership Award from Vistage, the world’s largest peer to peer CEO group in the world. David has been a member of Vistage since 2011. He coaches start-up companies, which is one of the activities he finds most rewarding. He also keeps close watch on emerging talent and opportunities in the fields of sports and entrepreneurship, two of his top passions.
Knotek is a philanthropist, and volunteer, and shares his passion for entrepreneurship and business skills with economically challenged young children and teens regularly. David and his wife Sylvie recently conceived of and provided the funds for the first Innovation Lab space, including providing hands-on high tech lab equipment and seminars and speaker-series to encourage young would-be entrepreneurs at the Port of Los Angeles Boys and Girls Club.
He hasn’t stopped there. David is also hoping to disrupt the pay-to-play model for young people to play soccer with a new innovative non-profit model working with LA Monsters Football Club.
David lives with his wife Sylvie, their two children Oliver and William, and dog Finn in Rancho Palos Verdes, CA.
